Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Buyer to join our team on a temporary basis through the end of the year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our purchasing team with a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, document management, and general office support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry and manage inventory records.
- Upload and maintain documents on our intranet.
- Utilize Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries as needed.
- File and organize documents to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Support other administrative tasks as assigned by the purchasing team.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Prior experience in an administrative or support role is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a buying or purchasing department is advantageous.
- Familiarity with document management systems.
